Study on intervention effect of central venous catheter cluster management for patients in department of blood cancer

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the application effect of cluster intervention on the central venous catheter in patients in blood cancer ward.Methods:A total of 128 patients with indwelling central venous catheter were se-lected as the research objects in blood cancer ward in our hospital and they were randomly divided into control group and intervention group,64 cases in each.The patients in control group were given routine nursing,and pa-tients in intervention group were given cluster of nursing intervention,then to observe the incidence of indwell-ing catheter complications in two groups of patients and take the catheter tip for bacterial culture when unplug-ging the pipeline and know about the catheter related bloodstream infections (CEBSI)situation.Results:The incidence of CEBSI and complications in patients in control group and intervention group were respectively 23.4%and 6.3%,20.3% and 4.7%.The total satisfaction of both group patients was respectively 95.3% and 82.9 %, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion:After the patient's blood cancer ward in-dwelling central venous catheter using cluster of interventions to reduce the chance of infected patients,reducing the incidence of complications,and control the occurrence of unplanned extubation,so that the patient can be safely retained pipeline.
