Influence of transitional care based on PDCA cycle on clinical prognosis of patients from intensive care unit turn to ordinary wards
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the influence of transitional care based on PDCA cycle on clinical prognosis in patients from intensive care unit turn to ordinary ward.Methods:A total of 200 patients treated in intensive care unit turn to ordinary ward were randomly divided into observation group(n=100)and control group(n=100). The transitional care based on PDCA cycle was used for patients in observation group and routine nursing was used for patients in control group.The adverse events,return to ICU rate,hospital infection rate,length of hos-pital stay,self rating depression scale (SDS)score and self rating anxiety scale (SAS)score were compared between both groups.Results:The incidence of adverse events,SDS score,SAS score,return to ICU rate,hospi-tal infection rate and length of hospital stay of patients in observation group were significantly lower than that in control group,and the difference showed statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion:The transitional care intervention can significantly improve the clinical prognosis of patients turning to ordinary ward from intensive care unit.The PDCA cycle can improve the nursing quality of transitional care intervention.
