Nursing care in oral administration and enema with traditional Chinese medicine to relieve constipation in advanced cancer patients

Abstract:Objective:To probe into nursing intervention effect of oral administration and enema with traditional Chinese medicine for advanced cancer patients with constipation.Methods:A total of 174 cases of patients with advanced cancer who received treatment of constipation were selected,and they were randomly divided into ob-servation group and control group based on digital method,87 cases in each.The patients in control group were treated with a large number of non retention enema,the patients in observation group received the retention ene-ma method with traditional Chinese medicine rectal dripping and increasing of oral administration.The nursing satisfaction of patients was compared in both groups,as well as recording the frequency of constipation and oth-er symptoms after nursing.Results:The nursing satisfaction of patients in observation group was 95.40%, which was significantly higher than that in control group (73.56%).And the ratio of constipation occurred in observation group after nursing only accounted for 12.64%,which was much less than 37.93% in control group,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion:Oral administration of traditional Chi-nese medicine combined with retention enema of traditional Chinese medicine rectal dripping can effectively relieve the constipation of patients with advanced cancer,and its nursing effect is obvious,patientsˊsatisfaction is high.
