Study on correlation between hope level and quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract：Objective:To probe into the correlation between hope level and quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:A total of 190 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were investigated with the Herth Hope Index (HHI)scale and the Diabetes Patients’Quality of Life (DSQL)scale.Results:The total score of hope level of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was 32.19±6.00,and the total score of quality of life was 69.10±13.63.Hope level was positively correlated with quality of life (r=0.221,P<0.01).Conclu-sion:The hope level of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is at the medium level,and it is positively correla-ted with quality of life.The higher the hope level is,the better the quality of life is.
