Investigation on cognition and implementation status quo of head nurses in primary hospitals on nursing process re-engineering

Abstract:Objective:To survey and analyze the cognition and implementation status quo of head nurses in pri-mary hospitals on nursing process reengineering,and so as to provide the references for the development of the hospital care management.Methods:A total of 300 head nurses in primary hospitals were cluster extracted as the study objects from 9 third grade hospitals in Xiamen by descriptive study.They received survey by using the questionnaire of cognition and implementation status of nursing process reengineering.Results:The awareness rate of head nurses in primary hospitals on nursing process reengineering was only 42.9%;the main problem of nursing process reengineering reported by 38.6% of them were too complex and lack of humanity;and 40.7%of them thought the most difficult problems to solve were design of simple,convenient and practical process during developing nursing process reengineering.Conclusion:The cognition degree of nursing process reengi-neering is not high,the problems in the process of implementation need be solved quickly.In order to make the nursing process reengineering have largest benefit,the nursing process reengineering should be paid attention to and active interventions should be taken aiming at its reasons.
