Application and nursing care of spiral nasointestinal tube in enteral nutrition of severe patients

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical application effect of spiral nasointestinal tube for implementing ear-ly enteral nutrition (EN)in severe patients.Methods:A total of 46 severe patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group,23 cases in each.The 23 cases of patients in observation group received EN support by using spiral nasointestinal tube,while the other 23 cases of patients in control group received EN support by using nasogastric tube,and then to observe the occurrence of adverse reactions during the EN sup-port in both groups.Results:The incidences of abdominal distension,diarrhea,gastric retention,reflux,aspiration of patients in observation group were lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying spiral nasointestinal tube in EN support can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions effectively,and it is better than the conventional application of nasogastric tube.
