Probe into the fi rst dressing change time after PICC

Abstract：Objective:The main objective of the first dressing change after peripherally inserted central venous catheter (PICC)was to keep the puncture site clean and dry and observe complications in initial stage of PICC,so as to the influence of the first dressing change time after clinical PICC on complications in initial stage of PICC.Methods:A total of 706 cases of PICC patients were divided into observation group and control group for clinical observation, complications after PICC were counted and observing if the complications in initial stage of PICC increased after two different dressing change time.Results:There were no significant differences(P >0.05)in prevention and occurrence of complications of PICC patients in dressing change within 48 hours after PICC(P >0.05).Conclusion:Dressing change within 48 hours after PICC can not only reduce the pressure of dressing change of patients and clinical nurses,but also can observe the healing condition of puncture site and know about if patients will have early complications after PICC.
