Diagnostic value of 2% Lugol’s iodine solution staining fornaophargngeal cancer patients
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the early diagnostic value of 2%Lugol’s iodine solution staining under nasopharyngeal electronic fiber mirror for nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC).Methods:A total of 86 cases of patients in experimental group received nasopharyngeal mucous mem-brane staining by using the 2% Lugol’s iodine solution.According to staining or not,the light staining zone was taken for biopsy.The 90 cases of patients in control group didn’t receive iodine solution staining,it is bi-opsied only according to the clinic experience,then to compare the biopsy positive rate of two groups of patients.Results:the positive rate was re-spective 89.5% and 75.5% in observation group and control group,posi-tive cancer detection rate was 77.9% and 64.4% respectively,and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion:Endo-scopic iodine staining is important for early diagnosis of NPC.
