Observation on effect of sophisticated filters infusion for prevention of PICC catheter blockage in neonates
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the effect of sophisticated filters infu-sion for prevention of PICC catheter blockage in neonates.Methods:In 3 1 5 cases of neonates indwelling PICC catheter,1 6 3 cases of them used ordinary infusion sets,1 5 2 cases of them used sophisticated filters infu-sion,then to compare the differences in the incidence of catheter blockage between both groups.Results:The incidence of PICC catheter blockage in newborns using ordinary infusion set was 7.18%,the incidence of PICC catheter blockage in newborns in sophisticated filters infusion group was 4.60%,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:The use of sophisticated filters infusion can prevent and re-duce neonatal PICC catheter blockage and release their pain,so as to en-sure the smooth progress of the infusion and reduce the workload of nur-ses at the same time.
