Nursing care of patients with first infant spasm receiving adrenocorticotropic hormone combined with midazolam therapy

Abstract：Obj ective:To summarize the nursing care of children with first infant spasm receiving adrenocorticotropic hormone combined with midazo-lam therapy.Methods:A total of children with first infant spasm received adrenocorticotropic hormone combined with midazolam therapy,and then transition to the oral prednisone acetate and nitrazepam,doing well explain and mission work before medication and close observation in medication, then to strengthen the nursing and timely intervention.Results:Seizures in 7 cases was completely controlled after treatment,and seizures was alleviated in 3 cases;after treatment the patients received the 2 h video EEG again, peak imperfectly wave disappeared in four cases;10 cases of children received regular review after discharging,and find that convulsions well controlled.Conclusion:To strengthen the nursing care of children with first infant spasm receiving adrenocorticotropic hormone combined with midazolam therapy is beneficial for prognosis.
