Qual itative research on work experience of psychiatric ward nurses

Abstract:Obj ective:To know about the real experience of nurses working in psychiatric wards,so as to provide the evidences for optimal manage-ment of psychiatric wards.Methods:phenomenological research method in qualitative research was used for the semi structured interviews of 1 1 nurses working in psychiatric wards,and the phenomenological analysis was used for the data analysis.Results:Five maj or themes derived from the study,which recognizes good career prospects in development of psy-chiatric care;lack of coping capacity to emergencies;lack of systematic and deep learning in specialist psychiatric theory;sense of oppression for closed working environment;contradictory in nature of work and personal roles. Conclusion:with psychiatric ward nurses should be allocated in reason and workload should be arranged in reason,so as to provide learning and train-ing opportunities.
