Comparison and analysis of degree of coronary artery disease in patients with coronary heart disease with different TCM constitutions
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the relationship between the traditional Chinese medicine constitutions of coronary heart disease (CHD)patients and degree of coronary artery disease.Methods:A total of 290 patients with CHD diagnosed by coronary angiography were evaluated on their TCM constitu-tions.Gensini score and number of coronary artery with disease were used to evaluate the degree of coronary artery disease,then to compare the characteris-tics of coronary artery disease between balanced constitution of patients and unbalanced constitution of patients.Results:Among the 290 patients,18 pa-tients (6.21%)had balanced constitution (normal constitution),and 272 pa-tients (93.79%)had unbalanced constitution (pathological constitution).Most of the patients who had unbalanced constitution got high Gensini score,and their total Gensini score was significantly higher than that of balanced constitu-tion of patients (P<0.05).Conclusion:The unbalanced constitution of patients had a much higher risk of CHD than the balanced constitution of patients.And the unbalanced constitution of patients showed higher extent of coronary steno-sis compared with the balanced constitution of patients.The data showed that there was some relationship between the extent of CHD and the constitution types of traditional Chinese medicine.And it could predict by the risk constitu-tion factors of attack of coronary heart disease .
