Appl ication study on simulation teaching in “Geriatric Nursing” teaching
Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the application effect of simulation teaching method in “Geriatric Nursing”,so as to provide certain theoretical basis for simulation teaching.Methods:eight vocational college classes were selected from nursing college of Xinjiang medical university in 2010 by cluster sampling method,a random sample of four classes were taken as the experimental group,the remaining four classes as the control group. The experimental group adopted the simulation teaching method to teach, and the control group adopted traditional teaching method,and teaching content and class number were the same in both groups.Results:The final grade of nursing students in experiment group was 72.23±6.23,while the final grade of nursing students in control group was 81.08±8.26.The final grade in the experimental group was higher than that in control group (t=5.84,P<0.01).Meanwhile,the score of aged care questionnaire in experi-mental group was higher than that in control group (P<0.01).Conclu-sion:Simulation teaching can make nursing students better grasp the relat-ed knowledge of elderly care,and it is the effective method to improve the teaching effect in Geriatric Nursing.
