Accidents and risk prevention during physical examination

Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the causes of accidents occurred in physical examination process,and so as to provide evidences for making corresponding risk preventions.Methods:Accidents occurred during physical examination were analyzed from January in 2010 to December in 2012.Results:the 75 cases of accidents happened in 87963 subjects,the fainting accounted for 61.33%;hypoglycemic accounted for 22.67%;fall accounted for 8%;sudden myocardial infarction accounted for 2.67%,the other accounted for 5.33%;after the implementation of risk management measures from July in 2011 to December in 2012,34 cases of accidents happened in 100654 cases of patients,including 22 cases of fainting,9 ca-ses of hypoglycemia,3 cases with fall,no myocardial infarction,fights and brawl occurred.There was statistically significant difference in acci-dent rate before and after implementation of risk management(P<0.05). Conclusion:Incidence of accidents is higher during healthy examination,a sound risk prevention measures need to made,to train medical workers in risk assessment and prevention awareness,improve safety management to ensure quality of care.
