Study on cluster of interventions on identification and prevention of venti lator alarm processing

Abstract：Obj ective:To probe into the effect of cluster of interventions in-troduced in ventilator alarm recognition and adverse events prevention. Methods:A total of 146 patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU were selected as control group,and the traditional nursing measures were imple-mented for them.Ventilator alarm and the occurrence of adverse events were retrospectively analyzed by collecting patients’relevant information. Another 1 5 9 patients with mechanical ventilation were selected as observa-tion group.Cluster intervention was carried out for the patients and a series of practical and effective safety measures were integrated applied.The ventilator alarm frequency,treatment time and occurrence of adverse e-vents were comparatively studied in the same period between two groups, and to observe the effect of cluster management.Results:The study found that the number of ventilator alarm for Grade 1 and 2 in observation group decreased significantly,alarm processing time was shortened,and the inci-dence of adverse events was reduced.There was statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0.05 ).Conclusion:The implementa-tion of cluster intervention and strengthening multi-link control can iden-tify and deal with ventilator alarm in time and effectively guide the clinical work,so as to make the mechanical ventilation patients get the safe and ef-fective respiratory support.
