Influence of individual ized health education on oral mucositis in head and neck cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy
Abstract：Objective:To probe into influence of individualized health educa-tion on oral mucositis in head and neck cancer patients undergoing radiother-apy.Methods:A total of 78 cases of head and neck cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy were randomly divided into observation group and control group,39 cases in each.The patients in observation group received individual-ized health education model,and patients in control group received routine health education model in radiotherapy department,then to compare the oral cavity mucous membrane inflammation grading between both groups after radiotherapy.Results:The incidence of severe oral mucositis(3~4 level)in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Individualized health education can help to reduce the occurrence of severe oral mucositis in patients with head and neck cancer.
