Abstract:Visible light communication(VLC)based on light-emitting diodes(LED)is widely regarded as a promising can-didate for next-generation mobile communication systems. However, its practical implementation faces challenges such as high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR),stringent linearity requirements for LEDs,and limited transmission rates. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel scheme integrating adaptive modulation and orthogonal cyclic transform(OCT)precoding to en-hance the performance of multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(MIMO-OFDM)in VLC sys-tems.An adaptive modulation OCT precoding system is designed and systematically evaluated in terms of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),PAPR suppression, and bit error rate(BER).Experimental results demonstrate that under identical conditions, the pro-posed system achieves an average SNR of 14 dB while reducing PAPR by 2 dB compared to conventional MIMO-OFDM systems.No-tably,the BER performance is improved by one order of magnitude.
