Abstract:With the extensive use of nonlinear loads in the power grid, the power grid signals are seriously distorted, and many problems are exposed in the traditional electricity measurement methods.Aiming at the electricity metering of non-stationary distorted signals in power grid,a new electricity metering method based on empirical wavelet transform is proposed, which can avoid the mode mixing phenomenon of empirical mode decomposition to a great extent. The typical steady-state and time-varying current and voltage waveforms are constructed. The empirical wavelet transform method is used to decompose and reconstructs the fundamental component, and the distortion component, respectively, and the distorted signal power is calculated.Compared with the empirical mode decomposition method and wavelet transform method, the empirical wavelet transform method has a robust adap-tive ability, accurate harmonic decomposition,a high degree of distortion signal reduction, and a small relative error of power mea-surement.It has a significant advantage in the field of electric power measurement.
