Abstract：For strengthening the safe and stable operation of power grid and improve the stability of power system communica-tion network reliability and efficiency,analyze the existing cable network management system,discusses the traditional operational methods exist in the management of distribution network communication optical cable limitations,combined with the existing cable network of jiangmen power supply bureau management system,the feasibility analysis of optical cable operations management sys-tem. Combing the existing grid communication optical cable content and job scheduling,operational and maintenance require-ments,in this paper,the GIS platform is built of laying optical cable,the business of bearing,the optimal path search,fault point positioning the functions of GIS,ring the alarm cable operations management system,to form a fiber optic cable operations manage-ment system based on GIS platform of the overall model.Management and application of optical network as the main line,on the ba-sis of full of vector electronic map,comprehensive intuitively to rendering of equipment resources and related facilities,implementa-tion of resource organization and management.
