Vehicle Detection Based on Image Fusion and Watershed Technology

Abstract：An effective detection method for moving vehicles is proposed .Firstly ,the consecutive frames subtraction method is used for background modeling ,the video frame and background frame are fused in the RGB channels based on the pixel level image fusion technology .Watershed segmentation is applied to obtain the best matching information after template matching ,vehicle detection and localization is realized at last .Experimental results show that the proposed method can detect moving vehicles in real time and get good results .
