Projection Line Segmentation for Uighur Character Text Based on Curve-fitting and Object Selection

Abstract：Aiming to solve the disadvantages of line segmentation method for traditional hand written Uighur text ,es-pecially to segmentation inaccurate problem of skew lines a lienated handwriting ,an algorithm of projection line segmentation for Uighur character text ,based on curve-fitting and object selection is presented in this paper .Projection line segmentation for Uighur character text based on curve-fitting and object selection ,combines curve-fitting and object selection with the tra-ditional projection segementation method .Experimental results show that this method is effective for line segement of hand-written uygur text heavily skewed ,and it can improve the accuracy of line segmentation for handwritten uygur text .
