Progress and situation analysis of coal fired industrial boilers in China

Abstract：In China,coal fired industrial boilers are dominated in industry.In order to provide the reference option for user choosing appropriate boilers in the project,the technical features and application status of three different types of coal fired industrial boilers were discussed.Circulating fluidized bed boiler and pulverized coal fired industrial boiler were analyzed in terms of combustion method and technical characteristics.It was thought that fluidized combustion is the basis of circulating fluidized bed boiler technology,and dense phase chamber combustion is the foundation of modem pulverized coal boiler.Relying on the huge heat capacity of dense bed,circulating fluidized bed boiler is suited for processing high ash fuel;and likely,dependent on low rank,high activity,and clean pulverized coal jet combustion ignition and fast response,pulverized coal fired industrial boiler is fit for oil (gas) boiler's backup and swapping.Therefore,circulating fluidized bed boilers and pulverized coal industrial boilers have their own scope of application,the two technologies are not trade-offs but complementary relationship.
