Abstract:In order to evaluate the detection methods of SO3 in flue gas of coal-fired power plants and the mitigation of SO3,this research conducted the determination of SO3 concentrations in a power plant with Controlled Cooling Method. It is found that:① the filtering equipment and the spiral centrifuge tube have significant influences on the sampling accuracy. The impacting and filtering dust collecting methods should be combined for sampling, and the cooling temperature should be adjusted in real time and accurately;② the concentrations of halogens in the solutions after sampling with Controlled Cooling Methods can reflect the sampling error in some degree, and the cooling temperature should be adjusted according to the concentrations of halogens;③ the SO2 can be strongly oxidized to SO3 by SCR catalyst, and the concentration of SO3 increases for 3 times through SCR.The removal efficiency of Air Preheater for SO3 can reach 86%.
