Simulation experimental study on grouting reinforcement layers of surrounding rock in tunnel crossing fault fracture zone

Abstract:To address the challenges of low surrounding rock strength and high risks of mud and water inrushes when constructing deep-buried tunnels through fault fracture zones, this study conducted systematic research to better understand tunnel surrounding rock reinforcement mechanisms.Through in-depth research on the mechanical properties of surrounding rock combined with numerical simula-tion,similarity simulation, and field tests, the diffusion patterns of porous grouting were revealed, while the viscosity effects and pressure effects during grouting processes were analyzed.Similarity simulation analysis was performed on the surrounding rock reinforcement zones to investigate the in-teraction between stress distribution and reinforcement material performance, verifying the effective-ness of multi-level support strategies. This provides scientific guidance for safe tunnel construction in complex geological conditions. The research demonstrates that reinforcement effectiveness is influenced by multiple factors including diffusion patterns, viscous effects, and pressure effects.Refi-ning particle size distribution and consolidation layer design significantly enhances the overall resistance of the support system, ensuring long-term tunnel stability. The findings offer valuable ex-perience for similar projects and establish theoretical foundations for stability control when tunneling through complex fault zones in deep-buried conditions. This research holds important reference value for disaster prevention and control in analogous underground engineering projects.
