Abstract:Aiming at the problem that gas drainage borehole trajectories are prone to deviate from coal seams, leading to reduced gas drainage efficiency and even potential safety hazards, this paper propo-ses a coal-rock interface identification technology based on measurement-while-drilling(MWD)vibra-tion parameters. This technology collects vibration signals during the drilling process,pre-processes them using wavelet transform and Butterworth filter, and extracts three characteristic parameters:average value, root mean square(RMS),and center frequency of power spectral density(PSD).By analyzing the differences in these three characteristic parameters at the coal-rock interface,a coal-rock interface identification model is established.Field test results show that the RMS value and the center frequency of PSD can effectively identify the coal-rock interface, providing a basis for real-time adjust-ment of the drilling trajectory. This technology has the advantages of low cost, fast response, and simple operation, which can provide a new solution for online monitoring of deviation in coal mine gas drainage boreholes.
