Research on directional drilling technology for reverse shaft pilot holes in deep vertical shafts

Abstract：The construction of guide holes is a key process in deep vertical shaft reverse excavation.The inclination rate of the guide holes determines the inclination rate of the excavation shaft.To ensure the quality of the guide holes,based on the construction of the 357 m exhaust shaft of Luanping Pumped Storage Power Station,this paper reviews four key technologies:while-drilling inclination measure-ment technology,screw correction technology,magnetic directional drilling technology,and direc-tional pilot hole scanning technology.The practice shows that through these construction technologies,the wellbore trajectory can be precisely controlled,with the inclination rate ≤3‰,pro-viding a reference for similar reverse excavation projects.
