Research status and prospects of rock blasting fragmentation prediction methods

Abstract：This review examines the progress in rock blasting fragmentation prediction.The application and limitations of traditional empirical formulas,such as the Kuznetsov formula and Kuz-Ram model,in engineering practice are analyzed.The theoretical foundations of elasticity,fracture mechanics,and damage mechanics are explored for their application in rock blasting fragmentation prediction.With the rapid advancement of computer technology and artificial intelligence,numerical simulation tech-niques and intelligent algorithms offer significant potential for simulating blasting processes,optimi-zing blasting designs,and improving prediction accuracy.Based on the current state-of-the-art re-search,future research directions for rock blasting fragmentation prediction are outlined.
