Abstract：The practical experience of freezing engineering under the condition of super-shallow,large-section and complex geological conditions is still obviously insufficient at home and abroad.Long-dis-tance and large-section freezing projects are particularly exposed to many risks.The condition monito-ring of the frozen wall should be done well in the process of freezing construction.A sudden seepage e-vent in earth surface occurred during the active freezing of the freezing project of the No.1 cross pas-sage in the Yunda section of Guangzhou Metro Line 11.The process of investigation and analysis of the occurrence of the incident and the treatment scheme adopted were presented.The influence on fro-zen wall under the sudden seepage in freezing engineering of long-distance and large-section tunnel was studied.Some reference could be achieved in similar projects.
