Abstract:With the experiment means,an analysis was conducted on the strength features of the freezing salt content silt soil from the Yangtze River Delta and a study was conducted on the strength performances of the different salt content remolded soils under the different temperature. With the unconfined compressive strength as the study object,an analysis was conducted on the relationship between the freezing soil strength and the salt content and the relationship between the freezing soil strength and the salt content under the several typi-cal temperatures was obtained individually. The results showed that the freezing strength would be reduced in the index with the salinity increased and the reducing would be small when the soil was in a low temperature and in a high salinity. The test results could provide the theoretical basis to the artificial freezing method ap-plied to the offshore region and coastal region.
