Abstract:A mine main shaft of Gansu Xinzhuang Mine had a net diameter of 9 m ,a shaft depth of 790.5 m ,an alluvium thickness of 30 m and a freezing depth of 673 m.At the mine shaft freezing sec‐tion ,a max excavation diameter was 13.4 m and each operation cycle (a section of 4 m) would have 900 m3 of wastes to be discharged.A max thickness of the mine shaft liner was 2.2 m and each meter height of the mine shaft liner would need the casted concrete of 77.5 m3.During the excavation and lining operation of the mine shaft freezing section ,there was a 8 boom umbellate drilling rig applied to the borehole drilling and a fling sinking bucket method for the waste discharging ,a chute line for the concrete downward transportation and other new technology and technique applied made the construc‐tion speed fast. The mine shaft sinking construction was reached to the bottom of the mine shaft only with seven months ,an average month sinking rate was over 90 m and a max month sinking rate was 110 m.
