The Technology of Construction of Vertical Shafts in the Section of Quartz Sandstone in Fenghuangshan Iron Mine

Abstract：In the period of construction of shaft bedrock in Fenghuangshan iron & Dongfeng mine , rocks of quartz sandstone is hard ,fracture develops well ,and the utilization rate of middle blasthole in tunneling blasting is low. So the secondary holing or blasting effects are undesirability ,normal circula‐tion rate is reduced ,and the needs of the project can’t be satisfied. By using conical cut blasting tech‐nology with charging leading core device ,the utilization rate of the blast hole are greatly improved ,the intensity of worker labor is reduced ,the speed of construction in the hard rock is expedited.
