Abstract：In order to effectively solve the deep vertical shaft through the thick strong expansive clay layer construction problems ,in the east wind of Guqiao Coal Mine shaft well thick strong expansive clay layer in construction of dig build by laying bricks or stones ,take the clay exposure time ,strength‐ening the shaft freezing ,the clay well help isolate water temperature ,the use of early strength type high strength concrete and the stress and strain observation system ,reasonably adjust the release time of shaft wall ,such as innovation ,make sure no broken tube shaft freezing section construction ,and through the thick strong expansive clay layer.
