The Application of Raise Boring Machine in 60° Long Slope Construction

Abstract：The pressure piping slope of Wagujiao Hydropower Station is buried type ,length of it is 135. 527 m ,and 60 ° angle to the horizontal direction ,surrounding rock joints and fissures develop‐ment ,interaction cutting sharp ,stability is very poor ,construction safety risk. According to the site construction conditions ,equipment level ,degree of skilled workers ,and time limit ,safety require‐ments ,using raise boring machine to construct pilot tunnel combination scheme for construction of ar‐tificial blasting expansion to dig. Through the practical experience of using the raise boring machine to construct the long and large dip angle slop in Wagujiao Hydropower Station ,it can provide reference for similar projects.
