Application of New Fi re Prevention and Extinguishing Technology in Controlling Coal Mine Fire

Abstract：Fire is one of the major disasters in coal mines ,it seriously threats the security of mine pro-duction.Based on analyzing the fire accident of No .12 coalseam 402 return airway in Nanshan Mining Area ,Jinhuagong Coal Mine ,the new fire prevention and extinguishing technologies of nitrogen cool-ing device and coal ash with high-water gelling agent were used ,then the fire was quickly extin-guished. The practice indicates :①pour the cooled nitrogen into fire area through cooling device ,can re-duce the oxygen concentration and temperature of fire area ;②coal ash with high-water gelling agent has some advantages ,such as coagulability and flame retardancy ;③ using this new technology ,the mine fire can be quickly extinguished ,it can avoid the fire area expand. This technology has high value of popularization and application.
