Construction of Super Large Chamber for Mine Hoist in Broken Rock Stratum

Abstract：A super large hoist chamber in Hedong Blind Combined Shaft of Maoping Lead and Zinc Mine had a heading cross section of 224.327 m2. The chamber was located in a broken rock stra-tum. The rock mass structure developed. The integrated quality of the rock mass was an Ⅳgrade and aⅤgrade locally. A construction plan with a trackless spiral inclined ramp ,top and low pilot chamber , waste rock pass blind shaft ,arch first and sidewall second and slice excavation was applied.During the construction ,with the scientific management and fine organization ,the convergence and deformation of the chamber surrounding rock were effectively controlled ,the stratum stability of the chamber area could be ensured and there were no spalling and roof falling accidents occurred. The construction quali-ty of the chamber was excellent ,the structure was stable and the safety and rapid construction was re-alized.
