Analysis on Variation Features of Temperature Field in Freezing Rock Plug of Mine Shaft

Abstract：A determination of a mine shaft freezing depth would be a key to a success or failure of the mine shaft freezing construction and would include a excavation and lining depth of the mine shaft freezing section and the length of the freezing rock plug.In combination with the project actuality ,a numerical model was established. An analysis was conducted on the temperature filed in the freezing rock plug of the mine shaft. The analysis found that there was a temperature rising zone existed in the longitudinal direction of the freezing wall interface in the rock plug at the mine shaft bottom . There was no relationship between the scope of the temperature rising zone and the original ground tempera ‐ture and thus the theoretical basis could be provided to the determination of the freezing rock plug length.
