Discussion on Difference of Frozen Soil and Rock in the Process of Shaft Building Construction in the Western Special Ground

Abstract：To solve the technological problem of freeze sinking in west of China ,physical and mechani-cal properties of the western special ground frozen soil and rock as well as freezing method sinking are discussed in this paper.A conclusion can be draw n that there are still many problems in the application to the western bed rock by using the frozen experience of topsoil (alluvial) layer in east of China.It is in urgent need of a large number of in-depth researches on characteristics of the western special ground freezing sinking.
