Directional Deep Borehole Drilling Technology Applied to Water Detection and Drainage in Mechanized Gateway Driving Face of Coal Mining Face

Abstract：In a construction of two mechanized driving air returning gateways of No.30201 coal mining face in Mudu Chaideng Mine ,a ZDY-6000LD model crawler type full hydraulic tunnel directional drill-ing rig manufactured by Xi’an Research Institute of China Coal Research Institute was applied to make directional drillings of one main borehole and two branch boreholes in a drilling field between the two gateways .Water detection was conducted on the water bearing conditions of the strata with a borehole depth of 18m above and below the gateway and a left and right of 30m.A quality long distance water detection and drainage and a rapid construction was realized with a good effect.
