Analysis of aeration biological filter+activated carbon adsorption for upgrading and renovation of wastewater treatment plants
MA Shanshan
Abstract:In response to the upgrading requirements for the secondary Ⅳ-class effluent of an industrial wastewater treatment plant,in order to meet the surface water Ⅳ-class standards of chemical oxygen demand(COD)≤30.00 mg/L and ammonia nitrogen≤1.50 mg/L,the'aerated biological filter+powdered activated carbon adsorption'process is adopted for enhanced treatment. The results show that the effluent COD is stabilized at 22.00~24.00 mg/L after the renovation, and ammonia nitrogen is lower than 1.00 mg/L under winter low-temperature conditions, both of which were superior to the target limits, achieving a balance between stable compliance and effective operation cost.
