Application and analysis of a new type of online water flushing device for air preheaters

Abstract：Aiming at the problem of clogging of air preheaters(air preheaters)caused by the operation of denitration systems in coal-fired power plants,the application effect of a new type of online water flushing device for air preheaters with swiping arms is studied.By conducting online water flushing tests with different flushing pressures on a 650 MW supercritical coal-fired generating unit in a certain power plant,the changes in key parameters such as the differential pressure of the air preheater,flue gas temperature,and fan current before and after flushing are systematically analyzed.The results show that at a flushing pressure of 30 MPa,this device can effectively reduce the operating resistance of the air preheater,significantly decrease the operating current of the fan,lower the exhaust gas temperature,and thereby enhance the safety and economy of the unit operation.By optimizing the flushing program or adjusting the speed of the air preheater,the flushing effect can be further improved and the operating cycle of the unit can be prolonged.
