Research on reducing soil thermal imbalance through total heat recovery based on TRNSYS

Abstract:In regions where the cooling load is significantly higher than the heat load in the climate zone, the hybrid ground source heat pump system uses cooling towers to assist in heat dissipation, resulting in the disorderly dissipation of low-grade heat energy and environmental thermal pollution.Taking three buildings of a high school in Wuxi as the research objects, the system operation strategy is optimized by using the full heat recovery technology.A dynamic simulation model of the ground source heat pump coupled with the heat recovery device is constructed by using TRNSYS to simulate and analyze the long-term operation performance of the full heat recovery ground source heat pump. The results show that the heat recovery strategy has reduced the soil thermal imbalance rate from 75.3%to 13.5%,effectively controlling the rise in soil temperature and significantly lowering the maximum outlet water temperature of the buried pipe. However,in long-term operation,it is still necessary to use a cooling tower for heat dissipation to prevent the outlet water temperature of the buried pipe from being too high.
