Abstract:To address the problems of coking and ash accumulation caused by high alkali metal content in Zhundong coal,an optimized scheme for co-firing Kaolin is explored to enhance the operational efficiency and economic benefits of the boiler.Through laboratory ash composition analysis, grindability test, wear characteristic test, coal ash sintering ratio test, combined with industrial test of 150 MW unit boiler, the influence of Kaolin co-firing on the combustion characteristics of Zhundong coal is studied.Tests show that when the silicon-aluminum ratio of Kaolin>is 2.0 and the alkali-acid ratio<is 0.5,co-firing 8%Kaolin can reduce the sintering ratio of coal ash below 1 050℃to less than 30%,effectively solidify sodium elements, generate high-temperature aluminosilicates, and significantly improve the slag-forming characteristics of coal ash.The fuel grinding effect of blending Kaolin with Zhundong coal is better than that of blending low-sodium coal. Moreover,by optimizing the quality of Kaolin, its grindability can be enhanced, and the output of the coal mill is significantly increased. In industrial tests, the thermal efficiency of the boiler exceeded 92.4%,reaching the guaranteed value of the boiler design parameters.Kaolin co-firing can effectively alleviate the coking problem of Zhundong coal, enhance the stability and economy of boiler operation, and provide a technical path for the clean utilization of high-alkali coal.
