Abstract:With the advancement of the'double carbon'goals, the petrochemical industry is confronted with the challenges of energy system transformation and structural adjustment, and urgently needs in-depth research on the driving factors of carbon emissions and the paths for emission reduction. The STIRPAT model is constructed to analyze the driving and influencing factors of carbon emissions in the petrochemical industry, and a parameter setting scheme for the carbon emission prediction model is proposed based on the results of factor weights.Research shows that the carbon emissions of the petrochemical industry are comprehensively influenced by factors such as energy structure, technological level and industrial structure.Through multiple measures such as optimizing the energy structure, promoting low-carbon technologies, adjusting the industrial structure, strengthening carbon emission management, increasing policy support, enhancing the skills of practitioners, and strengthening regional coordination, the carbon emissions of the petrochemical industry can be effectively reduced, achieving a green and low-carbon transformation and promoting the sustainable development of the industry.
