Abstract:In order to improve the combustion efficiency of CFB boilers under low-load operation, the cyclone separator of a 350 MW supercritical CFB boiler in a certain power plant is renovated. The results show that by reducing the diameter of the central cylinder and increasing the insertion depth, the efficiency of the separator can be improved by 1.49%,enhancing the circulation of materials in the furnace. After the transformation, the bed temperature decreased significantly.Under the main steam flow condition of 1 116 t/h,the bed temperature decreased by 26.3℃compared with that before the transformation. The differential pressure in the dilute phase region increased under each load, with a maximum increase of 0.52 kPa.The combustible content of fly ash and slag is reduced by approximately 0.5%and 1.5%respectively,effectively reducing the heat loss from incomplete combustion and improving the thermal efficiency of the boiler. This study indicates that the cyclone separator retrofit is an effective measure to improve the low-load operation performance of CFB boilers, which is of great significance for enhancing the flexibility and economy of CFB boilers.
