Abstract:For the tubular phase change heat storage devices with three fin forms, namely straight,15°/30° inclined and 6-hole/12-hole perforated, the heat storage process when the device is placed vertically and the melting law of the phase change material are analyzed, and the heat transfer performance is evaluated based on the comprehensive convective heat transfer coefficient and specific surface area. The results show that under the same inlet temperature conditions, the 30° inclined fin and 12-hole perforated fin structure improve the heat transfer performance of the device. Its comprehensive convective heat transfer coefficient is significantly higher than that of the straight fin,and the melting time can be shortened by approximately 50%.The phase change heat storage device in the form of perforated fins can improve the heat transfer performance, further enhance the compactness of the device, and provide better design options for efficient heat storage applications.
