Abstract:Taking the alkaline electrolytic water hydrogen production system with a hydrogen production capacity of 1 000 m3/h as the research object, according to the process characteristics of alkaline electrolytic water hydrogen production, the energy balance and material balance of the system are analyzed, and then energy-saving and water-saving measures are proposed. The results show that when the hydrogen production is 1 000 m3/h,the electrolytic voltage of the small chamber is 1.9 V,the operating pressure is 1.6 MPa,the working temperature is(85±5)℃,the purity of hydrogen at the outlet of the electrolytic cell is≥99.8%,the purity of oxygen is≥98.5%,the thermal efficiency is 77.89%,and the corresponding theoretical electrolytic water consumption is 804 kg.The actual water consumption is 845 to 880 kg.Reducing the electrolytic voltage of the small chamber and the utilization of low-temperature waste heat are effective means to improve thermal efficiency. The water consumption can be reduced by lowering the exhaust temperature at the outlet and recovering the discharged separated wastewater.
