Abstract:Natural ventilation as an energy-saving and effective ventilation method, has great potential in reducing energy consumption and improving indoor environmental quality.Based on the principle of thermal pressure ventilation, the airflow pattern at the door under natural ventilation conditions is simulated through salt water experiments. The research finds that there are three flow patterns at the entrance, namely the classic displacement flow, the obstruction flow and the unbalanced displacement flow.Among them, the unbalanced displacement flow can significantly increase the indoor ventilation volume by 27%compared with the displacement flow.Parameters such as the height of the door and the area of the high-level ventilation opening affect the ventilation efficiency and energy consumption by changing the height of the stratified interface.Optimizing the combination of opening sizes can enhance the natural ventilation effect, reduce the reliance on mechanical ventilation, and achieve energy-saving and consumption reduction.
