Abstract:An experimental device for partial premixed combustion of n-butane in a concave cavity burner is set up to study the effects of different primary air coefficients and concave cavity depths on the wall temperature of the burner, flame structure, flue gas emissions, etc. The results show that the depth of the cavity has a significant influence on the combustion characteristics.Under the same primary air coefficient conditions,as the depth of the cavity increases, the flame height first increases and then decreases, the maximum flame temperature increases, the outlet wall temperature decreases, and the CO content in the flue gas decreases.Under the same cavity depth condition, with the increase of the primary air coefficient, the flame contracts towards the burner outlet, the outlet wall temperature decreases, and the CO content decreases. When the depth of the concave cavity increases from 1 mm to 2 mm,the flame blowout limit broadens.when it increases from 2 mm to 3 mm,the flame blowout limit shrinks.
