Abstract:In order to investigate the flow heat transfer performance of capillary microchannels used in supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO,)coolers and molten salt/S-CO2 heat exchangers in photothermal power generation systems,S-CO2/water heat transfer experiments on single-core modules were carried out.The performance of capillary microchannel heat exchanger and semi-circular through-channel printed circuit plate heat exchanger(PCHE)in two application scenarios was compared by numerical simulation. The results show that the results of temperature, heat transfer and pressure loss are close to each other, which indicates that the model is reliable. The heat transfer efficiency of capillary microchannel heat exchanger can be increased by 9.31%,the volume can be reduced by 43.57%,and the pressure loss can be reduced by 28.79%,but the pressure loss can reach 300 kPa.Capillary microchannels are suitable for S-CO2 coolers and molten salt/S-CO2 heat exchangers with small volume and high pressure loss.
