Analysis of waste-to-energy incineration industry's waste heat utilization pathways and potential

Abstract：The overall energy utilization efficiency in China's waste-to-energy incineration industry is relatively low.As national subsidies phase out and the market gradually reaches saturation,improving energy efficiency plays a crucial role in enhancing the industry's profitability.This paper analyzes the development level of energy efficiency in China's waste-to-energy incineration industry and the pathways and measures to improve energy utilization efficiency.By integrating the waste heat utilization of waste-to-energy incineration projects with municipal heating,it not only improves the economic benefits of power plants but also fully plays a role in safeguarding people's livelihoods,with significant social and environmental benefits.An estimation and analysis of the waste heat utilization potential in China's waste-to-energy incineration industry show that there is a large room for development and significant carbon emission reduction benefits in the waste heat recovery and heating for projects in the northern regions.
